How do they know?

Only yesterday, I revealed the truth about the covert use of advanced, possibly even alien, technology in Newcastle. Whether it was some bizarre bio-technological genetic engineering or something beyond our current understanding of physics remains a mystery.
But there’s more. Obviously the door I discovered yesterday is just part of something much bigger. Today, I stumbled […]

Good trick if you can do it…

I went for another lunchtime walk with my camera today. I had a wander down to the Quayside, walked along to have a look at the quite interesting towering thingy that’s going up between the Metro and King Edward bridges, then walked up via the Centre for Life and on to the Eldon Square redevelopment […]

A Better Sign

After that bad sign, here’s a better one. There are numerous variations of this around, but I liked the “towed away” detail on this one.
Not a great picture - it was quickly grabbed with my phone while leaving a West Wales pub after lunch back in December.

“Massiv”

I do love a good bad sign, and this is as bad as I’ve seen in a long time. Spotted in a Newcastle shop window today. The identity of the shop will be kept confidential. Far be it from me to mention that it’s in Monument Mall.

Is that legal?

I spotted this sign in Hanover Square, London today. All the usual rules and regulations you’d expect for a small park, but what’s this??
Please remember to clean up after your dog and put it in the bin provided
Errrr, what? Londoners have disposable dogs now?

Is this the end….

..of civilisation as we know it? I spotted this in the window of the Newcastle Virgin Megastore Zavvi shop. Actually, I don’t think they’ve rebranded it yet, so maybe it is still Virgin. Either way, I hope they employ some people who can spell…

I deny all knowledge of this

I saw this in Gateshead town centre yesterday. I’m obviously very concerned that the council apparently have a department dedicated to operating on me, of which I was blissfully unaware. I can see I’ll have to keep a close eye out for scalpel-wielding Gateshead Council staff.

Blade Rubber

Gets the double “ouch” award: punning shop name and missing apostrophe. I managed to avoid taking a picture of the tourist shop across the road from the Tower of London. It’s called “Trader’s Gate”…

More apostrophe abuse

All over the timetables at Newcastle central station. Shocking!

Going straight?

See, water made some mistakes, but it’s paid the price and now it’s making a determined effort to go straight, and become a useful member of the community.
But seriously, does anyone actually think about signs like this before they order them?
