Finally, the truth about blogging

I’ve been a fan of Demotivators, those lovely demotivational posters and things from Despair.com for many years now. Come to think of it, I was familiar with their fun versions years before I was exposed to real “motivational” posters. Come to think of it even more, the first time I saw some of the “real” [...]

An excellent idea

The internet needs this:

Merlin - The Dragon’s Call

Oh fun. It seems the Doctor Who effect is growing stronger. Now that it’s been firmly established that people actually want family-friendly drama early on Saturday evenings, we’ve had the deliciously silly pseudo-historical fun and games of Robin Hood[1] and the CGI monster moves of Primeval[2]. Talk Like a Pirate Day 2008

It be t’day, me hearties! Arrrrrrrrrrrr![1]

I want one of these!

Once again, the excellent xkcd tells it like it really is:

Click the pic to see the whole thing. And if you still haven’t read all the others, what are you waiting for?

Google Maps get nasty…

Heh heh. More delightfully odd weirdness from xkcd today:

As usual, click the pic to visit the site and see the whole thing. And read any in the archive you haven’t already read.

Useful translation

For a while now, Flickr has been putting friendly greetings on its home page. They have a random selection of languages, ranging from well-known ones to the quite rare and obscure. But today, they reached a new level in linguistic usefulness:

Nice.

A cautionary tale…

More fun from the ever-brilliant xkcd. Click the picture to see the whole strip, then read the whole archive if you haven’t done it already. Come to think of it, you could read it again if you like.
