Where did my energy go?

Friday, 15th April 2005 10:59 pm

Hmmmm, starting with the ever-popular weight report: 202.8 pounds (14 stone 6.8 pounds, 92.0kg). Not bad.

The weather has taken a turn for the worse (or more worser than wot it was). Yesterday’s rain doesn’t seem to have stopped, and it’s been quite heavy at times. Bad enough for me to get the Metro in to work this morning (after walking into Gateshead as I had to pick up a parcel), and get the Metro and bus home again, mutter.

Was feeling tired all day, so I didn’t attempt any exercise this evening. Maybe the weather is getting me down or something :???:

A slight drift

Thursday, 14th April 2005 10:23 pm

Up a wee bit this morning to 204.0 pounds (14 stone 8 pounds, 92.5kg). Mutter.

After a couple of days of quite nice sunny weather, today was quite nasty. And it’s been raining. In fact, it was actually raining enough for me to get the bus home from work for the first time in, err, well, I can’t actually remember when. Quite a long time, anyway.

Felt tired again this evening, so I didn’t attempt an exercise session.

Moving on

Wednesday, 13th April 2005 9:16 pm

First, the ever-exciting weight report: this morning’s figure was a wee bit up at 203.8 pounds (14 stone 7.8 pounds, 92.4kg).

My left arm was a bit achy earlier in the day, and my knees have been complaining when I go up stairs, but by the time I got home I was feeling better, so I decided to go for at least a partial exercise set. I started with the bike, which felt like much harder work than normal - at one point I thought I wouldn’t manage the full 10km, but I did it in the end

I then moved on to the abominable abdominal exerciser and stepped things up a bit - 45 of each exercise instead of the usual 40, making a total of 180, which is quite a lot. Ow, etc.

I followed that with the usual weights and Bullworker stuff, but decided that the rower would be a wee bit too much tonight. Maybe tomorrow, we shall see, and all that. Tune in for the next exciting installment :rolleyes

Without the fun and frolics on the rowing machine, my peak heart rate was a mere 130.

Owww!!

Tuesday, 12th April 2005 11:14 pm

No change on the weight this morning - still 203.4 pounds (14 stone 7.4 pounds, 92.3kg).

Tuesday is a normal night off, but I wouldn’t have been up to it tonight anyway - I’ve got aches in my knees and my left arm is stiff.

Oh joy, old age beckons…..

Sleeeeepy

First, the weight report. This morning’s figure was slightly up at 203.4 pounds (14 stone 7.4 pounds, 92.3kg), just above the moderately crucial 14½ stone mark.

This should have been an exercise night, but I was too tired. More early nights required.

Another good start

No change in my weight this morning - still doing quite nicely at 202.8 pounds (14 stone 6.8 pounds, 92.0kg).

Managed the full exercise routine, though I have been getting the odd twinge in my knees - I think it’s the unseasonably cold weather, or old age, or something. Peak heart rate was 153.

Nice and low for tonight

Saturday, 9th April 2005 10:35 am

Hmmm, and my weight was down again today to 202.8 pounds (14 stone 6.8 pounds, 92.0kg), once again below the 14½ stone mark, which is always a Good Thing.

Out to see Rufus Wainwright in concert tonight. Expect a report soonish.

Too tired, or something

Friday, 8th April 2005 9:35 pm

Hmmm, this morning’s weight was up again to 203.2 pounds (14 stone 7.2 pounds, 92.2kg).

Well, I didn’t get round to exercising earlier in the week, and I’m too tired tonight, so it seems I’m a session down this week. Ooops. I’ll try to do better next week, starting on Sunday.

Getting better

Thursday, 7th April 2005 10:36 pm

Hey, where did that go? This morning’s weight was down a wee bit to 202.4 pounds (14 stone 6.4 pounds, 91.8kg). I haven’t been that light since October! It does look like I’m getting rid of the extra flab I put on over the winter. And with all the rowing and so on, more of the weight that remains is muscle…

I took tonight off the exercise routine, which means I have to do it tomorrow to avoid disappointing myself. I have a night out on Saturday[1] before starting the sequence again on Sunday.

Told you so

Well, as I expected, this morning’s weight was somewhat higher at 203.8 pounds (14 stone 7.8 pounds, 92.4kg). Quite acceptable.

Taking another night off the exercise stuff - I plan to do one either tomorrow or Friday to complete the week’s work.
