Well, perhaps partly because I didn’t eat very much last night, but this morning’s weight was the lowest recorded figure since some time in November: 204.0 pounds (14 stone 8 pounds, 92.5kg). I suspect it’ll be slightly higher over the next few days, but it does look like I’ve got a nice downward trend going.
And after last night’s break, I managed to get the motivation together for another full exercise session. All the usual stuff including the all-important 15 minutes on the rowing machine. I’m quite sure that the rowing is the single most effective part of the whole routine - it’s certainly the hardest! Today’s maximum heart rate was a quite impressive 159. I’m definitely getting fitter - it takes much less time for my heart rate to come down again, and for my breathing to return to normal after this kind of exertion than it used to.
Having done three sessions this week, I’ve met my current mental target. If I feel like it, I might do it all again tomorrow or Friday, but I’m not really planning on it.
Target for next week: add some more time onto the rowing, possibly taking it up to the full 20 minutes.
