Air Shows
Air shows are nicely entertaining and offer some superb photo opportunities.
Cardiff
I get back to my home town once or twice a year, and usually take some pictures while I'm there.
Durham
Durham has a Norman Cathedral, an impressive castle, and much more.
Edinburgh
Edinburgh is another city with plenty of historical buildings, and some interesting modern ones, too.
Impact!
Testing the spiffy impact gallery format
London
Most of my London trips are for business, but occasionally I get to take some pictures.
Newcastle and Gateshead
The town where I live faces the city where I work across the River Tyne. I take more pictures here than anywhere else, oddly enough.
North Tyneside
The coast north of the Tyne includes a ruined Priory, a lighthouse and much more.
Northumberland
If you head north from Newcastle, you'll find the county of Northumberland, notable for Hadrian's Wall and some historical border towns.
Other Places
There are some places I've been to where I've only taken a few photos. You'll find them here.
Redevelopment
Demolition and construction projects.
Saltwell Park
I live close to one of the finest Victorian parks in the country. It's one of my favourite photographic subjects.
South Tyneside
The coastline south of the Tyne is largely unspoiled and quite lovely. And there are some historical sites to visit, too.
Techniques
This is where you'll find my macro, close-up and generally mucking about work.
Wearside
There's a lot to see in Sunderland and the surrounding area, from an ancient church to a sculpture trail to a beautifully preserved windmill.
York
The ancient city of York is just an hour's train ride away. It's got the glorious Minster, the wonderful National Railway Museum, city walls, and much more.
